Wedding Stories privacy policy
Last updated August 30, 2026. Wedding Stories is operated by Robert W. Carpenter under GQ Bunny Software. The app is intended for adults age 18 or older and does not offer child accounts, advertising, or a public gallery.
Couple and cast photosUsed only to create the requested wedding storyThe couple photo or separate partner photos, plus any optional adult, pet, or toast-speaker portraits, are sent over HTTPS to the private Wedding Stories service and its AI image-processing provider. Original source uploads are deleted when the generated cast is approved, if creation is canceled or fails, or during automatic cleanup within 24 hours. Generated storybook portraits may remain temporarily until the completed book is downloaded or the same cleanup runs.
Important wedding photosYou choose what helps tell the storyOptional moment photos and their descriptions are used to shape the story and illustrations. Temporary server copies are removed after delivery or automatic cleanup within 24 hours. The finished artwork and story remain in your private on-device library until you delete them.
Wedding detailsOnly the details you provide or approve are usedNames, wedding location, theme, date or season, dedication, creator byline, selected moments, vows, celebration details, optional supporting people or pets, pasted notes, and approved toast memories are sent only as needed to write and illustrate the requested book. Optional fields may be skipped. Temporary generation records are deleted after delivery or within 24 hours.
Toast recordingsAuthentic audio stays in the private on-device libraryAn original recorded or imported toast is preserved untouched on the device. Any enhanced copy is saved separately and is never presented as restoration or newly created speech. Wedding Stories does not upload authentic or enhanced toast audio to GQ Bunny or OpenAI. Transcription requests on-device Apple speech recognition when supported; if on-device recognition is unavailable, Apple may process speech under its own privacy terms. Only memories you explicitly Use or Edit are sent with the story instructions.
AI service providerOpenAI helps create the book and narrationWedding Stories sends selected photos, approved portraits, story instructions, page text, or narration text to OpenAI only as needed to provide the requested feature. Story-writing requests are configured not to store the request for model training by the Wedding Stories service. OpenAI processes this information under its applicable privacy and service terms.
Finished booksSaved on your deviceThe generated cover, illustrations, story text, dedication, optional creator byline, narration, approved cast portraits, and any saved toast material are stored in the Wedding Stories library on your device. They remain until you delete the story, delete the app's data, or remove the app, subject to your Apple device-backup settings.
NarrationAI voice, prepared when you readOnly the cover title and page text needed for optional narration are sent securely for AI speech generation. Returned audio is cached with the local story for faster and offline replay. Wedding Stories does not keep a separate server copy of the narration audio.
Sharing and exportsYou choose when and where files are sentYou can use Apple's share sheet to send a private Wedding Stories file, narrated MP4, printable PDF, or exported AI-generated images through apps and services you select. Wedding Stories does not operate a public sharing gallery or app-hosted messaging service. The receiving app or service applies its own privacy terms.
PurchasesBilling is handled by AppleApple processes subscriptions and one-time page-credit purchases. Wedding Stories receives Apple-signed transaction information, product details, purchase status, and a stable app transaction identifier so credits can be granted once, restored, and protected from fraud. GQ Bunny does not receive or store your App Store payment-card number.
Printed booksSquare handles payment and Lulu fulfills the bookIf you order a physical keepsake, Wedding Stories sends the recipient name, delivery address, email, phone number, quantity, and private print-ready book files only as needed to quote, collect payment, manufacture, deliver, support, and account for the order. Square hosts checkout, and Wedding Stories does not receive your complete card number. Lulu receives the book files through expiring signed links and uses the delivery details to print and ship the order. Order and transaction records are retained only as required for fulfillment, support, fraud prevention, tax, and legal obligations.
Security and operationsLimited technical recordsThe service keeps short anonymous session credentials, one-way hashes of Apple transaction identifiers, short-lived rate-limit records, and ordinary security logs needed to prevent abuse and reliably deliver paid generation. These records are not used for advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking.
Accounts and trackingNo Wedding Stories login, ads, or analyticsThe app does not require a GQ Bunny account and does not include third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or cross-app tracking. Apple, OpenAI, Square, and Lulu may process information under their own applicable policies when their services are used.
Your controlsReview, export, share, or deleteYou decide whether to Use, Edit, or Ignore suggested toast memories before they can enter the story. You can edit a finished story, replace pictures, export it, or swipe left on a saved album and confirm deletion. Deleting a story removes its local book files and saved toast audio from the app library. Contact support for privacy questions about temporary generation or required purchase and print-order records.
ChildrenAdult-operated, general-audience serviceWedding Stories is intended for adults age 18 or older. It does not create child accounts or request photos of children. Do not upload a child's photo or use the app to create a child's likeness.
