DTT privacy policy
Last updated October 19, 2026. DTT records speech, keeps the original audio, and organizes transcripts as books on iPhone and iPad. Its Apple Watch companion can record independently and send a finished recording to the paired iPhone.
Audio and wordsYour recordings stay on your devicesMicrophone recording starts when you choose it. DTT saves the original audio and transcript in its local library. Apple's on-device speech software creates the transcript when a model is available. DTT does not upload your audio or transcript to a GQ Bunny Software server.
Images and textCapture only when you chooseCamera and Photos access are used to add an image to a book. Apple Vision reads visible text from that image on the device. The image and extracted text stay with the local book.
Translation and summariesProcessed with Apple device featuresWhen supported on your device, DTT uses Apple's Translation and on-device language features to create a saved translation or summary. Language models may need to download from Apple. DTT does not send book content to its own server for AI processing.
Apple WatchPaired-device transferA finished Watch recording is kept on the Watch and sent to the paired iPhone through Apple's WatchConnectivity service. The iPhone keeps a local copy and can transcribe it when DTT is active. DTT does not operate a cloud recording or synchronization service.
Sharing and deletionYou choose the destinationYou can export text, PDF, images, or original audio through Apple's share controls. The receiving app or service has its own privacy policy. Deleting a book in DTT removes that book's local audio, transcript, and images after confirmation. Export any copy you want to keep before removing DTT or replacing a device.
BackupsExport important booksDTT marks its iPhone and iPad book storage as excluded from automatic device backup. It does not provide automatic cross-device library sync. A manual export is the way to keep or move a separate copy.
PurchasesHandled by AppleApple processes DTT subscriptions and the one-time lifetime purchase and provides verified purchase status to the app. GQ Bunny Software does not receive your payment-card details. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account.
Accounts and trackingNo DTT account or advertisingDTT does not require an account and does not contain advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics. Apple may process App Store, Siri, model-download, and device diagnostic information under Apple's own policies and your device settings.
SupportYou choose what to send usIf you email support, we receive the information you choose to include and use it to answer you. Please do not send recordings, transcripts, or private images unless you want us to review them. Visiting this website can create ordinary hosting access logs, separate from DTT's local library.
