Do I have to type an IP address?

Normally, no. Open GQ Bunny DJ Connector on the DJ computer and scan its QR code from the GQ Bunny DJ Remote app. Manual entry remains available only as a backup.

Does one mobile app work with both Serato DJ and VirtualDJ?

Yes. GQ Bunny DJ Remote is one iPhone and iPad app with separate Serato DJ Control and VirtualDJ Control choices. The included computer Connector switches between the two DJ platforms.

Can I use the computer Connector by itself?

No. GQ Bunny DJ Connector is a required companion for GQ Bunny DJ Remote, not a standalone app. It is included at no extra cost and is downloaded from this setup page after installing the mobile app.

Does GQ Bunny DJ Connector disable my regular DJ controller?

No. GQ Bunny DJ Connector appears as a separate controller. It does not replace or disable the Pioneer DDJ-REV7 or another supported primary controller.

What setup is required on a Mac?

For Serato DJ, click Install Preset, then enable GQ Bunny DJ Connector Serato, select GQ Bunny Remote, and click Load once in Serato Setup. For VirtualDJ, click Install Mapping and restart VirtualDJ once.

Computer setup made simple

Install once. Test both decks. Start the event.

Choose Mac or Windows, select Serato DJ or VirtualDJ, then follow the short setup shown inside the Connector. It does not replace the REV7 or another primary controller.

Serato DJ on Mac

Open the Connector before Serato. Click Install Preset. In Serato Setup → MIDI, enable GQ Bunny DJ Connector Serato, choose GQ Bunny Remote, and click Load. Keep REV7 hardware remapping off.

VirtualDJ on Mac

Click Install Mapping and restart VirtualDJ once. It detects the Connector separately beside the REV7.

Serato DJ on Windows

Create a compatible virtual MIDI output, select it in the Connector, then map Play/Pause, Advance, Stop/Cue, and Load Track for both decks once in Serato MIDI mode.

VirtualDJ on Windows

Choose VirtualDJ, click Install VirtualDJ Bridge, and restart VirtualDJ once. No separate MIDI utility is required.

Prepare the songs

Put the introduction songs in the exact order you want. Select the left or right deck and test Advance before guests enter.

Use the script controls

PLAY is green, then changes to yellow PAUSE while music is running. ADVANCE loads and starts the next prepared song, so the button also shows yellow PAUSE. The separate red STOP button stops and returns to cue. LOAD TRACK loads the highlighted song without playing it.

The Windows companion includes its platform-specific setup guidance. Test both decks, Play/Pause, Advance, Stop, and Load Track before every event.
