Motion sensors
Measurements stay on your device
The app uses the phone's motion sensors to calculate angles and move the level bubble. GQ Bunny Software does not receive, store, or upload raw motion-sensor measurements.
Camera and flashlight
Camera tools process images on your device
Camera permission supports AR measurement, Camera Level and the flashlight on compatible devices. The iPhone edition also supports LiDAR Room Layout on supported hardware; Android room plans and models use dimensions entered by the user. You can capture measurement images and choose a photo through the system photo picker for Photo Angle. Camera frames, selected photos and room scans are processed on your device and are not uploaded to GQ Bunny Software. Earlier versions may use camera permission only for the flashlight.
Spoken measurements
Uses the phone's text-to-speech system
The app can read an angle aloud through system text-to-speech. It does not request microphone access and does not record audio.
Purchases
Handled by Apple or Google
Apple processes iPhone 2.0 monthly and three-month auto-renewing subscriptions and the one-time lifetime unlock. Earlier Original Tools purchases can be restored. Google Play handles the Android edition and its own purchase options. The exact price and billing period are shown before purchase. GQ Bunny Software does not receive payment-card details. Website checkout is not used.
Accounts and advertising
No app account or advertising
The app does not require an account and does not include advertising or advertising trackers. The Android camera-measurement tools use Google Play Services for AR (ARCore). When those tools are used, ARCore collects Google account identifiers, or device identifiers when no account is signed in, plus API usage and performance or diagnostic data for service analytics. This collection is required by ARCore and is transmitted using encryption. See the Google Privacy Policy. The app does not use ARCore Cloud Anchors or Geospatial services.
Network access
Not needed for measuring
Angle and level measurements work offline. An internet connection is needed for store purchases and restores, installation or updates of Google Play Services for AR, ARCore service communications, and when you choose an external link or sharing destination.
Local settings
Saved on your device
Settings, calibration, default-tool choices, saved measurements, selected photos and room exports are stored locally. You choose whether to share files with another app or computer; that destination handles them under its own privacy policy. Delete saved items in the app or remove local app data by uninstalling. Uninstalling does not cancel a store subscription.
Location and magnetic sensors
Optional true north
On iPhone, Compass & Tilt can request location permission to support true north. The Android compass uses magnetic north and does not request location permission. Heading, location and magnetic readings are used on device and are not sent to GQ Bunny Software.
Children
General-audience utility
The app is a general measuring tool and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
